UZ Gasthuisberg, the station, the centre
Most of our Leuven work is appointments at UZ Gasthuisberg, a train to catch at Leuven station, or an errand in town. We drop at the hospital entrance, not at the far end of the car park.
Leuven city centre is awkward by car since the traffic plan changed. The driver picks a drop-off that actually works — Bondgenotenlaan, the station, or the nearest corner to your street.
When the E40 stalls, we use the Hageland back roads
Between 07:00 and 09:00, then again from 16:00 to 18:30, the E40 from the Tienen exit into Leuven crawls. We then run through Kumtich, Vertrijk, Roosbeek and Bierbeek: a few kilometres more, often a quarter of an hour less.
From Hoegaarden or Boutersem the N3 is usually the simplest line; from Glabbeek and Tielt-Winge we take the E314.
Journey time Louvain-la-Neuve → Leuven
Allow 29 min for 31 km in normal conditions, a little more at peak. For an appointment with a fixed time we leave ten minutes earlier — and the agreed amount does not change because of it.
