Aarschot (Prononciation néerlandaise : [ˈaːrsxɔt] ) est une ville et une commune de la province du Brabant flamand, en Flandre, en Belgique. La commune comprend la ville d'Aarschot et les villes de Gelrode, Langdorp et Rillaar. Au 1er janvier 2019, Aarschot comptait 30 106 habitants. Aarschot was hit very hard in World War I. When German troops occupied the city on 19 August 1914, Colonel Stenger, commander of the 8th German Infantry Brigade, was shot dead on the balcony of the town hall. The German reprisal was very harsh.
