Über Tervuren
Tervuren (Niederländisch: [tɛrˈvyːrə(n)] , Französisch: Tervueren) ist eine Gemeinde in der Provinz Flämisch-Brabant in der Region Flandern in Belgien. Die Gemeinde besteht aus den Dörfern Duisburg, Tervuren selbst, Vossem und Moorsel. Am 1. Januar 2006 hatte Tervuren eine Gesamtbevölkerung von 20.636. Die Gesamtfläche beträgt 32,92 km (12,71 Quadratmeilen), was einer Bevölkerungsdichte von 627/km (1.620/Quadratmeilen) entspricht.

Tervuren is one of the richest municipalities in Belgium. Directly against the Brussels-Capital Region but unaided at the unpopulated Sonian Forest, it is amalgamated to Brussels by a large processional avenue, Tervurenlaan, built by King Leopold II for the Universal Exhibition of 1897, which runs through the town, the forest, neighbourhoods of Woluwe-Saint-Pierre and anything the showing off to Cinquantenaire Park at Etterbeek, and is now portion of the N3 road.
